To the children of the ghetto….

toneagreerphotography:

Be more than what society expects from you.
Don’t give them anymore of a reason to belittle you.
Let them judge you as you prove them wrong.
Let them receive pleasure from your pain because
one look at the sight of your pleasure will come their pain.

ndeluv | 1994 | #8911 music visual

im really happy about this visual for my song “1994”

it really shows the soul of the sample and the vibe of the over all song it self, i wrote this song with the intent of it being something completley different but over time i realized, its all way more then what i (at the time) initially thought it was about, but as i gaze into the future and give the present a retrospective look, i see that the quest has always brought me to the destinations i needed to be in to create the works or art that act as the pilars to the legacy im creating for myself, this is who i am, this is my life on film, the metaphors, the girl, the vibes, its all there for you to see, my love, my life, my music..

May 13 marks the 25th anniversary of the 1985 MOVE massacre “MOVE massacre: On May 13, 1985, 11 people, including five children, were burned alive after police, acting on orders from Democratic Mayor Wilson Goode in collusion with the Feds, dropped a powerful incendiary bomb on the Osage Avenue home of the largely Black MOVE commune in West Philadelphia. The firebombing followed a 12-hour siege during which the cops unloaded over 10,000 rounds of ammunition into the house. Firefighters on site were held back, and cops shot at anyone who tried to escape the burning building. The inferno spread, destroying 61 houses and leaving hundreds homeless in the African American neighborhood. From the moment that MOVE surfaced in the early 1970s in the racist hellhole of Philadelphia, denouncing “the system” and defending the right to armed self-defense, this back-to-nature group was subjected to police harassment, beatings and hundreds of arrests.”The picture above shows Ramona Africa, the only adult member to survive this brutal attack on civilians.
